Dr. Bob Cameron, DVM - Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Bob Cameron graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Allegheny College, located in Meadville, PA in 1973. He went on to earn his Master of Science degree in 1977, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1980, both from the University of Georgia. He discovered his love for animals at a very young age, and in the 5th grade he decided he wanted to become a veterinarian. Throughout college and graduate school Bob prayed for the Lord to use him as He saw fit, which led him to his ultimate dream of becoming a veterinarian. Of all things, Dr. Cameron loves the challenges and opportunities that veterinary medicine provides. He has been at Riverside Veterinary Hospital since 1987 after spending 6 1/2 years practicing in Elizabeth City.
Dr Cameron is married to his beautiful wife, Pam, of 36 years. They have two talented children, David and Marybeth, and 7 family pets: Gracie, Puppy, Tiger, Cowee, Mozart, Muzette, and Gabriel. He belongs to the First United Methodist Church where he spends his Sundays as an active Sunday school teacher, participates as a bible study leader along with many other leadership roles in the church. When asked how Dr. Cameron likes to spend his spare time he replied, “What’s that?!” but does enjoy church work and time with his family. If Bob could relay one message it would be that God can do great things if we let Him use us.
Dr. Chandra Meachem Tucker, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Tucker graduated from North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University with a Bachelor of Science in 2000. In 2004, she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Maryland Regional College. Since she was a little girl she knew she had a great love for animals, and in middle school she decided that she wanted to a veterinarian. She feels that her purpose in life is to be an advocate for the health of animals.
Chandra is married to Damian Tucker, an attorney in Rocky Mount. They have a wonderful son named Nicholas. As for pets, Dr. Tucker has one dog named Dutch. In her spare time she enjoys to cook, read and travel. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority Inc.
Dr. Emily Mashburn, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Emily Mashburn joined the Riverside team in January 2013, moving from Atlanta, Georgia. Dr Mashburn is coming back home, closer to family in Smithfield. Dr Mashburn graduated with a Batchelor of Science degree from NC State and then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine also at NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation she did an internship at the University of Georgia and then began practicing in the Atlanta area. Dr Mashburn is married to Matt and has two boys, Lucas and Hank.
Dr. Will Turbyfill, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Will Turbyfill joined the Riverside team in October 2013, coming to us after practicing in Roanoke Rapids. He is a 2012 graduate of North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UNC- Chapel Hill in 2006, and is still a die-hard Tar Heels fan.
Dr. Turbyfill is married to his beautiful and intelligent wife, Holly. Together, they live in Spring Hope with their dog, Annabell, and cat, Ace. They are members of Ephesus Baptist Church, where they love being involved in ministry in their community.
Dr. Jasmine Glasco, DVM- Veterinarian
Dr. Jasmine Glasco joined the Riverside team in June of 2015 after graduating from North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Glasco also completed her undergraduate work at NC State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 2011. She was drawn to the field of veterinary medicine from a young age and has a passion for helping those without a voice. Through her experiences participating in a medical science course in high school and working for a local hospital and veterinary clinic, Dr. Glasco knew her heart was in the medical field! She loves talking with pet owners and getting to know her patients. She also has interests in preventative medicine, public health, and dermatology.
Dr. Glasco shares her home with her dog, Lucky, who is a beagle/lab mix. She is a member of Morning Star Baptist church and Mount Peace Baptist church in Raleigh. She has even been on a mission trip to the Navajo Nation in the summer of 2014. In her spare time, Dr. Glasco loves spending time with her pet, Zumba, and trying new recipes.
