Dr. Bob Cameron, DVM - Owner/Veterinarian
Dr. Bob Cameron graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Allegheny College, located in Meadville, PA in 1973. He went on to earn his Master of Science degree in 1977, and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1980, both from the University of Georgia. He discovered his love for animals at a very young age, and in the 5th grade he decided he wanted to become a veterinarian. Throughout college and graduate school Bob prayed for the Lord to use him as He saw fit, which led him to his ultimate dream of becoming a veterinarian. Of all things, Dr. Cameron loves the challenges and opportunities that veterinary medicine provides. He has been at Riverside Veterinary Hospital since 1987 after spending 6 1/2 years practicing in Elizabeth City.
Dr Cameron is married to his beautiful wife, Pam, of 36 years. They have two talented children, David and Marybeth, and 7 family pets: Gracie, Puppy, Tiger, Cowee, Mozart, Muzette, and Gabriel. He belongs to the First United Methodist Church where he spends his Sundays as an active Sunday school teacher, participates as a bible study leader along with many other leadership roles in the church. When asked how Dr. Cameron likes to spend his spare time he replied, “What’s that?!” but does enjoy church work and time with his family. If Bob could relay one message it would be that God can do great things if we let Him use us.
Dr. Chandra Meachem Tucker, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Meachem Tucker graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor of Science in 2000. In 2004, she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.
Since she was a little girl, she knew she had a great love for animals. In 7th grade she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. She feels that her purpose in life is to be an advocate for the health of animals.
Dr. Meachem Tucker is married to Damian Tucker, a partner in the law firm Hester and Tucker, PLLC in Rocky Mount, NC. They have two sons, Nicolas and Jacob, and one dog Scout.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Dr. Will Turbyfill, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Will Turbyfill joined the Riverside team in October 2013, coming to us after practicing in Roanoke Rapids. He is a 2012 graduate of North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UNC- Chapel Hill in 2006, and is still a die-hard Tar Heels fan.
Dr. Turbyfill is married to his beautiful and intelligent wife, Holly. Together, they live in Spring Hope with their dog, Annabell, and cat, Ace. They are members of Ephesus Baptist Church, where they love being involved in ministry in their community.
Dr. Jasmine Glasco, DVM- Veterinarian
Dr. Jasmine Glasco joined the Riverside team in June of 2015 after graduating from North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Glasco also completed her undergraduate work at NC State with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 2011. She was drawn to the field of veterinary medicine from a young age and has a passion for helping those without a voice. Through her experiences participating in a medical science course in high school and working for a local hospital and veterinary clinic, Dr. Glasco knew her heart was in the medical field! She loves talking with pet owners and getting to know her patients. She also has interests in preventative medicine, public health, and dermatology.
Dr. Glasco shares her home with her dog, Lucky, who is a beagle/lab mix. She is a member of Morning Star Baptist church and Mount Peace Baptist church in Raleigh. She has even been on a mission trip to the Navajo Nation in the summer of 2014. In her spare time, Dr. Glasco loves spending time with her pet, Zumba, and trying new recipes.
Dr. Ashley Pooch, DVM - Veterinarian
Dr. Ashley Pooch joined the Riverside team in July of 2018. She is originally from Wilmington, NC. She graduated from Auburn University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in zoology with a pre-veterinary concentration, and she graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She wanted to be a small animal veterinarian for as long as she can remember! Dr. Pooch’s veterinary special interests are feline medicine and behavior. She also loves interacting with and building lasting relationships with clients.
Dr. Pooch has two cats, Siegfried and Tristan. Her hobbies include swing dancing, writing, reading, cooking, baking, running, Zumba, and traveling. She is very proud of her younger sister, who is a veterinary student at the Royal School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland!
